The most visited national parks in northern Tanzania include Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge, Lake Manyara National Park, and Serengeti National Park. You will get to know them all over this five-day safari. Experience the best of Tanzanian wildlife while traveling in specially built 4×4 safari cars with open roofs for game viewing. There can be up to 6 passengers per vehicle on this small group seat-in-car safari, all of whom have window seats.

About the Destionation

Lake Manyara National Park in Tanzania is renowned for its birdlife, elephant population, and tree-climbing lions. The park covers 330 sq km, 70% of which is lake.

Olduvai Gorge, also known as Olduvai, is known for archeological discoveries, including the skull of a 1.75 million-year-old humanoid.

The Serengeti National Park, the largest in Tanzania, covers 14,763 sq km and is home to over a million wildebeest, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, leopards, serval cats, and jackals.

Ngorongoro, the largest intact crater in the world, covers 265 sq km and is home to an abundance of wild game, including elephants, rhinos, cheetahs, lions, leopards, hyenas, serval cats, jackals, bushbacks, elands, waterbucks, wildebeest, antelope, and a variety of birds.

Day 1: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, we’ll pick you up from Springlands Hotel and embark on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. This park boasts unparalleled game viewing, especially during the dry season when hundreds of animals congregate here. Witness the majestic landscape of grassy plains, swamps, hills, and iconic baobab trees. Keep your eyes peeled for elephants, zebras, buffalo, and more. Tarangire is also a paradise for bird enthusiasts, with more breeding species found here than anywhere else. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Masai Steppe and mountains as you explore. In the late afternoon, return to Highview Coffee Lodge for overnight stay.

Day 2: Olduvai Gorge & Serengeti National Park

Today, we journey to Serengeti National Park via the iconic Olduvai Gorge, known for its archaeological significance. Explore this archaeological site, where early human fossils were first discovered, offering a fascinating glimpse into our ancient past. Afterward, continue your journey to the Serengeti, where you’ll witness the legendary Great Migration and encounter the Big Five and other wildlife in their natural habitat. In the late evening, rest and relax at Ikoma Wild Camp.

Day 3: Full Day Serengeti Safari

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park. Witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras traverse the plains in search of fresh grazing lands. Explore the park’s diverse landscapes and encounter a myriad of wildlife species, including the Big Five. Prepare for an unforgettable adventure immersed in the beauty of Serengeti. In the evening, return to Serengeti Wild Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Enjoy a morning game drive en-route to Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend into the crater, home to an abundance of wildlife, including black rhinos, lions, and flamingos. Marvel at the stunning views from the crater rim and witness the harmonious coexistence of animals and local tribes. In the afternoon, return to your lodge for overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park

Embark on a morning drive to Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife. Explore the park’s evergreen groundwater forest, grassy plains, and expansive lake, home to tree-climbing lions and a variety of bird species. Enjoy excellent game viewing opportunities as you encounter buffalo, giraffes, elephants, and more. Afterward, return to Springlands Hotel Moshi for overnight stay.
