Upon your arrival at Dar es Salaam International Airport, our dedicated team will be ready to greet you and facilitate your transfer to the city center. Day 2

Following breakfast, you have two options for your journey to Selous. You can either take a scenic flight from Dar es Salaam to Selous, landing at Mtemere Airstrip, or opt for a picturesque drive by car, which takes approximately 5-6 hours. Whichever mode of transport you choose, rest assured you’ll be treated to breathtaking views along the way.

Upon arrival at Selous, settle in and enjoy a delicious lunch at the campsite, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wilderness.

In the afternoon, embark on an unforgettable boat safari along the Rufiji River. Marvel at the diverse array of wildlife that congregates along the riverbanks, including crocodiles, hippos, and a multitude of bird species.

As the sun begins to set, return to camp for a sumptuous dinner under the starlit African sky, followed by a restful overnight stay at Selous River Camp or Selous Wild Camp, both located just 6 km from the entrance gate. Prepare for an extraordinary adventure in the heart of Selous Game Reserve.

Day 3

After fueling up with a delicious breakfast, we’ll prepare packed lunches for your full-day adventure in Selous Game Reserve. Set out on an exhilarating game drive, immersing yourself in the vast wilderness of Selous.

As you traverse the reserve, keep your eyes peeled for the diverse array of wildlife that calls Selous home, from majestic elephants and graceful giraffes to elusive predators like lions and leopards.

Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the breathtaking scenery of the bush, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African savannah.

As the day draws to a close, embark on a late evening drive back to the campsite, where a hearty dinner awaits you. Spend the night at Selous River Camp or Selous Wild Camp, nestled in the heart of the reserve, and relive the day’s thrilling encounters under the starry African sky. Get ready for another day of adventure and discovery in Selous Game Reserve.

Day 4

Following a satisfying breakfast, get ready for another exhilarating day of adventure in Selous Game Reserve. Today, we’ll embark on a full day of game viewing and a walking safari near Lake Tagalala, provided the road conditions are passable.

As we venture deeper into the reserve, keep your senses sharp as we search for the diverse wildlife that inhabits this pristine wilderness. From majestic elephants to elusive predators, every turn offers a chance to encounter the wonders of Selous.

We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch near the Hot Springs, surrounded by the tranquility of nature. Take a moment to soak in the sights and sounds of the bush as you refuel for the afternoon ahead.

As the sun begins to set, we’ll make our way back to the campsite for a late evening drive, arriving just in time for a delicious dinner under the starlit African sky. Spend the night at Selous Wild Camp, where you can unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures amidst the serenity of the reserve.

Day 5

Start your day with an early breakfast, preparing for a short morning game drive to catch any last glimpses of wildlife awakening with the dawn.

After the game drive, we’ll head to the airstrip for those catching a flight to Dar es Salaam, ensuring you arrive in time for your departure. Alternatively, if you prefer, we can arrange for a scenic drive back to Dar es Salaam, allowing you to soak in the beauty of the landscape one last time before your journey concludes.
